Children start early at our nursery

Nursery and Reception

Welcome to the Foundation Stage

at Eden Park Academy

Our unit has a warm, happy atmosphere where purposeful learning takes place. The teaching and support staff are enthusiastic, hard-working and caring. We aim to provide a quality education for your child and hope that you will work in partnership with us towards this.

We aim to provide a nurturing, secure and well supervised environment which promotes young children’s emotional, social, creative and physical development. Through this type of environment we encourage the children to become independent and self-confident learners.

We have two bases within our Foundation Unit:

  • The nursery class is called ‘Wrens’ and takes children from 2-4 years of age. The main nursery room is a large space home to a wide range of continuous provision for the youngest children to explore. We also have a quiet sensory room to enable children to access the provision in a smaller, calm space when required.

  •   The nursery children can access a covered patio area outside as well as a large garden with climbing equipment, wildlife area and vegetable area as well as a sand pit and bike area.

  • The Reception children are called ‘Starlings’ and are based in the classroom adjoining the nursery.

  • They also have an additional classroom where continuous provision is set up for them to access and their own outside area.

Do you have a 2 or 3 year old but do not qualify for funding? Ask in the office for further information about paying for sessions.

Sessions are available at the cost of £13.50 per session.

We love how inclusive Eden Park is, our daughter is so happy and excited for every day she attends. She has many friends who will all make up such an important part of her journey. She loves lots of sensory activities which are available to her in abundance. We love ‘Focus Week’ and we get a report of her play and how much of a positive impact it’s having towards her development. Eden park feels like our extended family!

My son absolutely loves nursery. Before he started he was quite behind on his speech, but now he is coming on in leaps and bounds. The nursery is clean, friendly and the staff are very approachable. The children will never get bored, there are so many fun things for the children to do inside and out. I'd recommend Eden park to anyone.

My daughter loves going to Eden Park Nursery. All the teachers and assistants are lovely. My daughter talks about them all the time. Since her very first day, she has been made to feel very welcome and has come on in leaps and bounds with her academic and social abilities. She has also made some lovely friends, which I hope she will go through the school years with. The updates on Tapestry keep you well informed with what your child has been up to, and you have regular catch ups with teachers to discuss any concerns etc. I can not recommend enough.
