Hello Owl Class
This week, we are going to start using our new online social media platform! It is called Natterhub.
Natterhub is going to help us with our PSHE and ICT learning as well as allowing you to communicate with your classmates and teachers during the day.
Here is a link to a video showing you the welcome tutorial and explaining what Natterhub is - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vMAvArmoww. Watch the video and then have a go at logging into your account using the link below.
Here is the link to log in to Natterhub! https://natterhub.school/pupil-login/eden-park-academy. Your first job is to sign the behaviour agreement! Then have a go at editing your avatar and profile. Once you have created your avatar and profile, have a go at writing me a message on the class feed! :)
Let me know if you have any problems!
Hello! I hope you are all doing well at home!
Next week, from the 11th - 15th January, a school Maths Bands Battle will be taking place on TT Rockstars!
Best get practising!
Hello Owl Class!
I hope that you are all ok and feeling comfortable with the new lockdown arrangements. I have been phoning parents over the last two days to organise home learning drop offs and pick ups! If you have a phone call from an unkown number, it could be me!
- Please check the home learning tab above for your weekly home learning pack. You will need to find the pack that has your initials on it - that way you will know that you are completing the correct work!
- Please also check the 'Be Active' tab above. Here, I will be posting regular links to some physical activity challenges that you and your families can try at home.
I am sorry that we have had to go back to a lockdown situation! I know that you will all be doing your best to keep yourselves and your families safe.
If you need any help at all, you can email email@example.com or phone the school office and they will pass on a message for me to contact you.
Remember, just try your best! Try really hard not to worry about your work, just have a go!
I hope to see you all very soon.
Miss Lee :)
Happy Monday Owl Class!
I can't believe how fast this term is going. In PE, Owls have been learning how to play tennis! In Geography, we have been doing lots of exciting work about volcanoes this term and the children have really enjoyed conducting their own volcano experiments. Next week, we will be having a history day where we will look at 'Pompeii' and how it was affected by Mount Vesuvius. Feel free to do some home learning about Pompeii before our lesson if you are interested to know more!
We will shortly be in the lead up to Christmas. I'd like to thank you all for your support so far this term, I know it has been odd with all of the changes but thank you for sticking to the guidelines. We are working on some Christmas themed activities at the moment and are hoping to show them all very soon!
- Non Pupil Day is on the 7th December
- The official Christmas Jumper Day is on Friday 11th December - you CAN wear your Christmas jumper on this day but please bring a donation of 50p if you can!
- Christmas Dinner Day is on Tuesday 15th December - you CAN wear Christmas jumpers or accessories on this day but please keep it to a minimum!
- The last day of term is the 18th December - children can wear Christmas party clothes on this day!
As always, if you have any questions or need any support you can catch an adult at the end of the day or phone the office to make an appoinment.
We have had a lovely start to our year and are starting to feel a bit more settled now which is great!
Check out the homework tab at the top of our page for skills and topic themed homeworks. Please do not bring these to school with you. I would love to see some photos of your work and will send out an email address that these can be sent to soon!
We have been doing lots of PSHE work in Owl Class over the last few weeks, in particular looking at the story The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas. Here is a link to the story if you would like to share it with your child. We have really enjoyed learning about our feelings and emotions and are going to be looking at how we can manage them over the next few days!
Welcome back Owl Class!
We hope that you had a lovely summer and are ready to get back to work!
PE day is a Wednesday and you need to wear you PE kit to school! We will no longer be changing during the school day.
Homework will be added to the website. If you would like a paper copy, you may take one but this should not be returned to school.
Thank you! I am really looking forward to the year ahead!
Miss Lee :)
